A. Form of the Verb in the Simple Past Tense
- 1. Regular Verbs

We use the simple past tense with expression that refer to a definite moments or period in the past.

Other expression used in the simple past tense are last……, yesterday,…..ago

To make a negative statement about the past we use did not/didn’t + infinitive without to

- E. Question forms
We make a questions about the past with did/didn’t + subject + infinitive without to
Did you go to office by car? Yes, I did / No, I didn’t
Did she see you yesterday? Yes, she did / No, she didn’t
Did they work hard? Yes, they did / No, they didn’t
